What is a cutting plotter ?
Cutting plotters or Vinyl cutters are a type of plotter which equiped with blade to cut a range of materials like Color Vinyls, Reflective Sheeting, Card Boards, Talc, Edible Papers, Labels,... . they normally input data from computers using some special softwares like CorelDraw, Adobe Illustratos,... the normal vinyl cutters are using for simple cuts on materials , but the improved ones are equiped with laser pointers or camera and even QR Code reader devices for precise contour cutting of printed materials
Is it possible to direct send data from CorelDraw ?
Yes. There are some Printer Driver or Plugin using for direct cut from COrelDraw and Adobe Illustrator
What are the different size of Cutting Plotters ?
Normally, there are 2 different sizes for cutting plotters. 60cm(24") and 120cm(48"). But there are some of suppliers which produce vinyl cutters in smaller sizes like 30cm, 40cm or biggere sizes like 160cm
What are the difference of cutting plotters ?
Despite of manufactures and brand names, cutting plotters are classified in two main groups Stepper motors & Servo motors. stepper motor cutting plotters are more stable but slower and also make noise but Servo motor vinyl cutters are high speed and make lower noise. the repairment of Servo motor vinyl cutters are more expensive than Stepper motors

There are some known brands for vinyl cutters in the world like Roland, Mimaki, Graphtec, Summa, IOLINE,... which all of them have good quality and use servo motors inside. but we have a lot of chiness brand cutting plotters which have different qualities. for instance: Foison which is one of the best quality cutting plotters in the world
Are the cutting plotters blades different ?
Yes, there are different types of blades for different brands of cutting plotters. Roland Blade:It normally use for Roland vinyl cutters and lots of chiness brands of cutting plotters. Mimaki Blade: they normally use for Mimaki vinyl cutters and some of chiness cutting plotters like Foison, Pcut. Graphtec Blade: it is using only for graphtec vinyl cutter and there are some different types of Graphtec blades for different uses(they need their special blade holders). there are also other blades for other machines like IOLINE which use many different types of blades for different purposes.
